Banned from forum

I don't think banning is ever an automatic action. It's always manual through Admin Panel -> Banning. Maybe you played around with that, and did it inadvertently?

IP reassignment is common for both DSL and cable. Although users usually keep their IPs for weeks or months at a time these days, at some point it does get changed.

OH YES!! :jumping:

All groups (including "Administration") apparently had their group permissions set to negative selections ("Allow all" deselected, and "No" set for all choices). Probably due to safe guard settings when changes was made to groups/permissions in a newer version of JForum :)

Now it just works!

Big upgrade, one last question about private messaging

I don't remember that discussion (might have been before my time), but currently this option does not exist. But I can see how an unlimited PM capability might be unwanted or downright problematic, so I'll add that switch for the next version. But it might be a while until that is released, so for the time being commenting out the PM button (in default/user_profile.htm and default/mobile/user_profile.htm) and the link to the PM page (in default/header.htm) is your best option.

Hi!
I have a problem at forums list and topics list.
If new message added forum and topic marks as "New Messages" only if user is online. If user is offline, after log in no forum or topic is marked as "New Messages" even if new posts have been added to them.
How can i solve that problem? Maybe some setting at config list?

You mean you want to use rich text editor like one of https://itsfoss.com/open-source-wysiwyg-editors/? That's possible in principle, although you'll want one that can output [url=https://sourceforge.net/p/jforum2/wiki2/BBCodes/]BBCode[/url], since that's what JForum uses to format text. The template that contains the textarea for posts (which is where you would need to plug in the WYSIWYG editor) is called post_form.htm

JForum is open source software, so you're free to modify it and run it with your modifications within the bounds of its license (which is quite permissive).

This gives you all topics created after a specific time, along with number of views, number of replies, the user who started the topic, and the text of the initial post:

Views are only tracked per topic overall, not on a daily basis.

Strange. Any user (admin/moderator or not, in group General or Administration) should be able to edit their own post, provided that the post is not locked and "Posts can be edited after replies" is enabled.

Query - Watch Forum - One user watches all forums without setting the tick manually on each of them

No, there's no "watch all forums" button, nor actually any way an admin could assign forum watches to users in the admin UI.

Someone who knows their way around SQL could do it by inserting entries into the [tt]jforum_forums_watch[/tt] table.
